Hi everyone,
I want to share something with you that completely transformed how I work with private clients - and it might challenge everything you've been taught about mediumship.
For years, I did what most mediums do: I'd sit with a client and just "open up" to whoever wanted to come through. Sometimes I'd get a great-great-uncle they barely remembered. Other times I'd spend 25 minutes with their father, only to hear in the last five minutes: "Is my mother there? I was really hoping to speak with her."
Sound familiar?
The Question That Changes Everything
Now I do something most mediums are afraid to do. I ask directly:
"Who do you want to speak to?"
If they're in bereavement, I want to know immediately. Not because I'm lazy - because I want to give them what they actually need, not what's easiest for me to deliver.
And here's what I've discovered after all these years: When I set that clear intention for close ones - mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, siblings, children - they are ALWAYS there. Always.
I know I get criticism from colleagues for this approach. It's easier to stay in your comfort zone, isn't it? But I'd rather take responsibility than leave clients disappointed.
What Most Mediums Get Wrong
The biggest mistake I see is mediums giving messages without enough evidence first. Your clients don't need you to tell them what they want to hear - they need PROOF that their loved one is actually communicating.
In the history of spiritualism, the message was simple: "I'm alive. I'm here. Life continues." That required substantial evidence to be believable.
Today, many clients will accept any message you give them because you're "the medium." But that trust comes with tremendous responsibility. We can uplift someone or destroy them in a single sitting.
My Evidence-First Method
When I bring in someone who died of cancer, for example, I don't stop at "cancer." My mind immediately goes deeper:
Was the death quick or prolonged?
Did they receive treatment?
Did the cancer return?
Did they die at hospital or home?
Were family members present?
Did everyone get to say goodbye?
I visualize the hospital room or bedroom where they passed. I might see snow falling outside the window (winter death), or notice the time on the hospital wall clock (time of passing). I use my imagination as a tool for spirit to work through, not against.
The Visualization Technique That Works
Here's a practical exercise I teach my students: If spirit shows you a library, don't just say "they liked books." Pull a book off the shelf in your mind. What genre is it? Fiction? Romance? Biography? What's the condition of the book - new or well-worn?
If they show you a kitchen scene, what are they drinking? Coffee or tea? What kind of cup? Is there music playing? What's outside the window?
Your imagination becomes spirit's paintbrush. The more curious and detailed you get, the more specific evidence you can deliver.
The Partnership Truth
Here's something crucial: You are NOT less important than the spirit communicating. They can't do anything without you. You can't deliver evidence without them.
It's a true partnership, and both sides deserve respect.
Stop thinking you're "just making it up." Your mind is the only tool available for this work. Your imagination, your life experience, your knowledge - that's exactly what spirit needs to communicate through.
The Psychology of Mediumship
We mediums have what I call a "disease" - we're never satisfied with our work. Even after a client leaves over the moon with their reading, we think "I could have gotten more details about that one thing..."
But here's the truth: When you set the clear intention to connect with close loved ones, when you ask for evidence first and messages second, when you use your imagination as spirit's tool rather than your enemy - you'll deliver what they actually need.
Ready to Master Private Sittings?
Everything I've shared here is just the beginning of how I approach private mediumship work. The depth of connection possible when you understand these principles - and have the confidence to implement them - changes everything.
If you're ready to move beyond hobby-level mediumship into professional-grade skills, I have a few spots remaining in my 2026 Progressive Mediumship Program.
This 9-month intensive includes individual feedback on your recorded practice sessions, a private 90-minute mentorship with me, and small group development that builds real confidence in exactly these kinds of techniques.
Early bird pricing ends in just 3 days - after October 1st, investment increases to €1,595.
But more importantly, this work requires commitment to go deeper than most are willing to go. To question your comfort zones. To take responsibility for the connections you're making.
Your clients deserve a medium who asks the right questions, delivers solid evidence, and honors the trust they place in you.
Are you ready to be that medium?
Remember, the spirits are always there when you set clear intention. The question isn't whether they'll show up - it's whether you're brave enough to ask for exactly who your client needs to hear from.
P.S. Your presence in this community means the world to me. Thank you for being part of this journey. 💜
Don’t forget — you can always reply to this message with your thoughts, feedback, or questions, and I will get back to you. I read each and every email.
Much love to you all 🥰
